Cake Pop? What’s a Cake Pop? A Cake Pop is a mini cake shaped like a ball. I had seen several pictures on the Internet of these cute little confections but didn’t know how they were made. I assumed they were made with a special cake pan that was baked in the oven.
Not until I received a Baby Cakes Cake Pop maker for Christmas did I know that there is an easy and fun way to make these round yummy cakes.
The Baby Cakes Cake Pop maker has 12 wells where you pour, squirt or spoon cake batter into. You then close the lid, flip the machine 180 degrees and then 2 minutes later, open it up to hot and steamy mini cakes. Isn’t that cool!
I also received a Cake Pop cookbook which is loaded with a ton of delicious recipes. The first type of Cake Pop I made was a french toast donut followed later that day by garlic bread balls.
Both of these were very easy to make and only took a few minutes to make. My kids loved the Cake Pops too and told me that I needed to make a different type of Cake Pop everyday. This morning I used pancake boxed mix to make “circle pancakes”. The kids really enjoyed dipping these balls into syrup. Yum!!
However, the clean up does take some time. You need to clean the cooking wells, drip pan, cool trays and removal fork.
I haven’t tried decorating and icing the Cake Pops yet but the instructions look easy for that as well. So, if you are looking for a fun way to make desserts, try out the Baby Cakes Cake Pop maker.
