If you are like me, house cleaning is not one of my favorite chores. But here are a few tips to hopefully make this mundane job a little easier.
- Gather all the supplies you will need. This will save time running back and forth to get something.
- Once you’ve decide which room, you’ll tackle first, start by decluttering. Remove all trash and items that don’t belong there. Place the items that need to be relocated in a large bin to be put away later.
- Always clean from top to bottom. Therefore, dust first.
- Use vacuum attachment to clean walls, window seals, sofas, blinds and ceiling fans. I even dust with my vacuum.
- Wash silk house plants in the shower. Just let the shower run on them for a few seconds and then let dry.
- Soak dirty stove drip pans in a mixture of dishwashing detergent and water. Let set for several minutes and rinse and dry.
