Approximately 70 million Americans suffer from long-term or occasional insomnia, which includes difficulty falling asleep, difficulty staying asleep, waking up too early and not being able to return to sleep or waking up feeling unrested. According to a survey by the National Sleep Foundation, 42% of Americans wake often during the night; and 29% of the population reports waking too early, not being able to get back to sleep and 26% report difficulty falling asleep.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Steven Lamm, health expert on the The View, regarding insomnia and ways busy mothers can deal with insomnia.
This was such a great honor to be able to talk with Dr. Lamm. I found his answers to be extremely helpful and I hope you will too.
